Body
All students are requested to check in and check out at the Sim Center or Nursing Lab kiosks when arriving and leaving simulation activities, skill check offs, and practice times. A program badge, NIC student ID card, or the Elevate Health LS Check-In smartphone app is required for check in/out.
Note: We do not recommend the Elevate Health LS Check-In smartphone app due to potential device compatibility issues.
If you want to try using your smartphone to check in instead of your NIC ID card/badge, first install the LS Check-In Application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and enter the server address https://learningspace.nic.edu, tap submit, then tap Go To Login. Sign in to the app with your NIC username and password. Checking in
At the Sim Center or Nursing Lab kiosk, scan the barcode on your NIC ID card/badge or the QR code on your smartphone.
The kiosk barcode scanner will turn on automatically when you put your ID/badge below the kiosk. The kiosk will beep on a successful scan.
Tap the blue Check-in button to check-in.
A confirmation page will display. Tap Done to complete the check in process.
Note:
If you do not click Done when checking in it will automatically return to the check in screen after 10 seconds. Even though it says "Automatic logout" you are still checked in.
Checking out
At the Sim Center or Nursing Lab kiosk, scan the barcode on your NIC ID card/badge. When the Checkout button is highlighted, tap it, then tap Done to complete the checkout process.
