Copilot is an AI assistant that enhances productivity and creativity by helping with tasks like writing, coding, brainstorming, and data analysis. It works through conversational prompts and can generate content, provide answers, and automate routine actions. Depending on the version, Copilot can assist with everyday work tasks within Microsoft 365 apps or provide web-based assistance for general queries, image creation, and more.
Access via Cardinal Mail
Sign into MyNIC: https://my.nic.edu/
Click Cardinal Mail.

Click the 9 dots in the upper left-hand corner.

Click Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Access via Microsoft 365 Products
Copilot is integrated with various Microsoft products through their online platform.
Sign into MyNIC: https://my.nic.edu/
Click Cardinal Mail.

Click the 9 dots in the upper left-hand corner.

From this menu, you will see various Microsoft 365 products available online, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and Outlook. Copilot is automatically integrated with the online versions of these products.

Click Outlook. You will see Copilot as an option in the upper right-hand corner in the ribbon in Outlook.

In nearly all of the online Microsoft products, you will see Copilot as an option in the ribbon at the top. Outlook is used as an example above.
Access via MyNIC
Sign into MyNIC: https://my.nic.edu/
In the MyNIC portal, search for Copilot and click Microsoft Copilot.

Click the person icon in the lower left-hand corner.

Click Sign in.

Click Continue with Microsoft.

Enter your NIC email address and click Next.

Enter your NIC password and click Sign in.

Select the Work option.

You are now signed in and connected to a secure and compliant Copilot integrated with your NIC account.
