To login:

1. Search for Serv-u File Share in MyNIC, or go to:  https://ftpsec.nic.edu/    
2. Login with your NIC Username Password.

To send files:

1. Click Sent, and then click Send file.
2. Enter the below information:

• Enter the Title & Description.
• Expand Advanced settings.  Choose a date/time for the link to these files to expire.  Set a password if you want to require the person receiving the files to login.  Click Next.
• Enter the email address of the person who is receiving your file.Choose if you want to be notified when the file is downloaded and if you want a copy of the email with the download link.
• Expand Change sender details.  It will automatically populate your username and email address.  You can change your name or the email address here.  Click Finish.

3. Click the name of the file sharing link you created.
4. Click Upload.
5. Upload the files you want to send by clicking Browse or you can drag and drop files to the upload box.
6. When the file(s) are uploaded, you will receive a page confirming the files were uploaded.  Click Done.
7. Once you click done, you will now see your main activity page showing your sent files.  You can click on the Share to see the share URL provided to the user.

To request files:

1. Click on Requested New request from the top menu.
2. Enter the following information: 

• Title & Description.
• Expand Advanced settings.  Choose a date/time for the link to request files to expire.  Set a password if you want to require one a login or limit file uploads.  Click Next.
• Enter the email address of the person who is receiving your link.  Choose if you want to be notified when the file is uploaded and if you want a copy of the email with the upload link.
• Expand Change sender details.  It will automatically populate your username and email address.You can change your name or the email address here.  Click Finish.

3. Click the name of the upload link.
4. Once you click done, you will now see your main activity page showing the requested files link.If any files have been uploaded, you will see them here.
