A8 I/O Quick Start Guide
- The A8 I/O communicates between a Multi-Door Controller (MDC) or a Door Point Controller (DPC) and a card reader.
- This device connects the Badge readers, Door Position Sensors, Rex devices and can used to open door locks.
- It is typically installed within 10 feet of the badge reader. It is about this size of a deck of cards.
- It connects to the DPC with the Green 6pin terminal block connectors. An I/O and a card reader are required for each Door used on the DPC.
- An I/O connects to the DPC (MyOn cabinet) using 18/6 shielded cable to the I/O and should be no more than 2,000 feet
