1. Infrastructure & Mounting
- Enclosure Installation: Secure the NIC MyOn Touchnet proprietary Cabinet and the Altronix AL400ULX power supply in a designated IT closet.
- Power Preparation: Mount the Altronix Relay Output and Power Supply Cabinet near the main controller. Ensure the AL400ULX is configured to output the correct voltage (typically 12VDC or 24VDC) for your hardware. If we have a fail over power supply we can forego this power supply cabinet.
- Conduit & Pulling: Rough-in pipe conduits and pull 22/6 shielded cables from each door location back to the Myon central cabinet.
2. Device Termination (Door Level)
- Install A8 I/O door controller: Mount A8 I/O within 10 feet from the HID Signo badge reader. Usually in ceiling above. There is an option to mount these in the wall together “A8 with mounted reader”.
- Install Readers: Mount HID Signo Badge Readers within 10 feet from the A8 I/O reader.
- Locking Hardware: Install Powered Door Strikes or Latches. Use the Altronix relay cabinet or provide the 24V DC "wet" power required for locks.
- Egress & Monitoring: (optional)
3. Controller Wiring (A8 I/O)
- Wet Wiring Configuration: Configure the A8 I/O Door Controller for wet wiring if needed.
- Reader & Sensor Input: Terminate the HID Signo reader wires (Data 0, Data 1, Power, Ground) and the DPS/REX inputs into the designated ports on the A8 I/O
4. System Commissioning
- Initial Power-up: Make sure your power supply is correct before final connection to prevent damage to the MyOn cabinet.
- Software Provisioning: Sync the controller time and add the new doors to the Touchnet Door Controller
- Testing & Validation:
- Test each badge reader with a valid credential.
- Verify the REX and BEA push buttons trigger the strike release.
- Confirm the DPS accurately reports door status in the management console.
