Record to the Cloud

In Meeting Recording

To record the meeting after you have joined:

  1. Click Record
    • If you don’t see the record option, click More > Record
  2. Click Record to the Cloud

After you end the meeting, and your recording is done processing, you will get an email with the share link and host only link.  By default, all Zoom cloud recordings can be found at:

Note: We have limited cloud storage with Zoom.  Please delete recordings you no longer need.

Individual Speech Recordings

If you want individual recordings for each student, you will need to start and stop the recording in between each student speech.  Pausing the recording will result in one recording, with a short part missing.  You can stop and then record to the cloud for individual recordings. 

Meeting File Location - Panopto

The Panopto integration has been enabled with Zoom.  As a result, you will have a copy of the recording in the Zoom cloud and in Panopto.  We do not have the same storage limitations in Panopto.  If you delete a recording from the Zoom cloud, it will not have any effect on the recording in Panopto.  By default, a copy of the cloud recording can be found at:

Important notes:

  • Do not change the name of the folder
  • You can move the recording to another folder for organizational structure
  • Panopto integrates with Canvas
  • Recordings can be shared from Panopto
  • Panopto has better editing and captioning options
