As part of the NIC admissions application process, you may need to complete additional identity verification. The steps to follow are outlined below.
Step 1
From a phone or tablet, click the link in the text or email, or use your phone to scan the QR code.
Step 2
Tab Start Verification.
Step 3
For Consent to Verify ID, tap Consent.
Step 4
Tap Driver License / ID Card or Passport, depending what you are going to provide.
Note: You will need to allow verify.socure.us to access your camera after your selection.
Step 5
Move your phone or tablet camera over your passport or license so that it is inside the box on the screen. The app with automatically capture an image. If the image is clear, tap Submit. If it is blurry, tap Retake and try the process again.
For a license, you will need to capture both the front and back of the license. After capturing the front, you will be prompted to flip it over and repeat the process for the back.
Step 6
Take a picture of yourself and tap Submit. You will get a screen that confirms your verification is complete and then you will be directed to the NIC home website.
