Self Service - How to Approve a Plan
Self Service - How to Approve a Plan

Log into your
MyNIC
account at
https://my.nic.edu
and click on
Self Service.
From the Self Service main menu, select
Advising.
From this list of your advisees,
select a Student.
Note
: You can search for a student by name or ID number in the search box.
The
Course Plan
tab shows the classes the student has requested to register for during registration.
Advisors can approve/deny
all
courses at once by choosing
Select
.
Advisors can approve/deny individual courses by placing a
check mark
beside the course.
Once a course(s) is selected, choose
Approve
or
Deny
from the main menu.
Classes approved appear with a
green thumbs up
, classes denied appear with a
red thumbs down
.
Protecting a Course
:
In addition to approving semester plans, advisors can
protect
certain courses. When a course is protected a student cannot remove the course from the planned semester.
