All students are requested to check in and check out at the Sim Center kiosk when arriving and leaving simulation activities, skill check offs, and practice times. A legible NIC student ID card or the CAE LS Check-In Application on a smartphone is required for check in/out.
To use your smartphone to check in, first install the CAE LS Check-In Application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and enter the server address https://learningspace.nic.edu, tap submit, then tap Go To Login. Sign in to the app with your NIC username and password. Checking in
At the Sim Center kiosk, scan the barcode on your NIC student ID card or the QR code on your smartphone.
The check-in button should become highlighted blue if the student is associated with a running activity.
Click the blue Check-in button.
A confirmation page will display. Click Done to complete the check in process.
Note:
If you do not click Done when checking in it will automatically return to the check in screen after 10 seconds. Even though it says "Automatic logout" you are still checked in.
Checking out
At the Sim Center kiosk, scan the barcode on your NIC student ID card. When the Checkout button is highlighted, click it, then click Done to complete the checkout process.
