Use the styles in the Rich Content Editor

Headings enable individuals using a screen reader to navigate a document, and are an essential element in creating accessible online materials.

Text entered into Canvas’s Rich Content Editor is styled as a paragraph by default. When a line of text is selected, a header style can be applied from the styles dropdown menu.

Text copied into the Canvas’s Rich Content Editor might retain its formatting from the source application. Use Canvas’s Clear Formatting tool to apply the Paragraph style to all of the text.
